Next Wednesday will be the official opening of Boyne Place – the new community meeting space on High Street in Langley Moor.
Join us on Wednesday 15 July at 10.00am where the Chair of the Friends of Langley Moor residents group will be cutting the ribbon alongside a child from the local nursery school! Please come and help us celebrate this special event, and for those of you unable to make it, we’ll hopefully post pictures of the occasion.
We’re getting quite excited now that developments at the gap site are really coming together. You’ll see in the most recent images below some of the seating is in place, paving is almost complete, and there are beds ready for planting.
We think it is going to be so beautiful once complete… We hope you agree.
If you’ve passed through the village recently you may have noticed the substantial works taking place on High Street to provide a new community meeting place. Here are some of the latest pictures from the site:
If you’re a resident of Langley Moor, or a regularly visitor you may have noticed that work has started on the gap site location on High Street! As you can see from the images of the first week of work on the site it is progressing nicely and the site paving is coming together.
We’ll keep you up to speed with pictures and developments as progress on the site moves on.
Unfortunately the work to create our new public area has been delayed by a week.
The new start date for works to commence is 13 April 2015. The gap in the High Street behind the bus shelter will be completely transformed into a wonderful meeting place which we hope the whole community will enjoy for many years to come.
Further updates once work commences will be posted to the site.
We’d be interested to know where you think the wonderful notice board should be sited at our new public meeting place in High Street, Langley Moor? We plan to start work in April.
The image below shows the current plans for the site which are looking brilliant.
