News on Langley Moor improvements

Further to the FOLM meeting on 6 April 2017, there’s been some exciting developments…

We’ll be adding to the village’s wonderful floral displays with the installation of two additional planters. The location of the current planters is indicated by the black stars, the additional planters by the red stars (see image below). Funding has been secured for their maintenance for five years – a very welcome sight in the village.

Another Community Litter Pick has been organised for Saturday 22 April. The likely location of the focus of effort with be Goatbeck; so wellies required, more details nearer the time via our Facebook page.

The Mining Memorial is making good progress with the school.

There has been a slight delay to the 20MPH scheme on Brandon Lane and Black Road. We’re awaiting installation of some cabling by Northern Power Grid – updates on this development will come.

Ideas welcome, please feel free to get in touch with these or attend any of the upcoming meetings – a friendly welcome always.
