Thank you so very much to all those who attended our Christmas event in December. We estimate that over 400 people came to see the Christmas Tree lights switched-on and to hear our wonderful local school children sing.
We hope you all had a very merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year to you all.
Some photographs from the event are below:
Our annual Christmas tree lights switch on event on Sunday, 29 November 2015, was a great success. Thank you to the 300+ members of the local community who turned out to see our splendid tree illuminated once more.
Sherburn Hill Salvation Army Band played festive tunes from 3.45pm, and choirs from St Patricks and Langley Moor Primary Schools sand carols from 4.30pm, ahead of the lights being switched-on at 5pm.

Ahead of our planned switch on this Sunday, 29 November 2015, our fantastic tree has been erected at its usual position on High Street. The tree has been dressed and is all ready for Sunday!
Many thanks to Graham and John for their help once again.
The big switch-on is at 5pm, with the event beginning at 3.45pm. We hope to see you there!
What an absolutely wonderful turnout for the switching-on of our village Christmas tree lights.
Both our primary schools, Langley Moor Primary and St. Patrick’s were fantastic and what about the fabulous band North Road? Definitely better than anything on the X Factor! The light ‘switch on’ was carried out by The Right Worshipful The Mayor of Durham.
A very genuine and heartfelt thank you to the people of our community who turned out in their hundreds to witness this amazing annual event for our village.
Happy Christmas to you all.
